Our story
For 23 years, Advanced Car Hire has handed over the keys to Namibia. And almost every customer asked the same thing.
Who should we talk to about the rest of the trip? The lodges. The camps. The excursions. The route itself.
So the family built the answer. Namib & Co. is the full-suite travel designer for people who want Namibia handled, end to end, by people who live here.

What we do
Tell us how you travel. We design the journey, secure the stays, and stay with you until you are home.
01
Routes built around your pace, your interests, and the season. Nothing off a shelf.
02
Handpicked stays across the country, booked through relationships we hold with the properties.
03
Balloon flights, desert drives, coast cruises, guided walks. The days between the drives, arranged.
04
A human being in Windhoek while you travel. When plans change, one call sorts it.
Itineraries
Starting points, not fixed tours. Every journey is designed around you.

Booking engines are excellent. Use them. But when a road closes, a flight slips, or the camp you wanted is full, an algorithm has no one to call in Windhoek. We do.
We hold the relationships with the lodges and camps, and we answer when it matters.

Questions
Short version: you tell us about your trip, we design it and book it, and we stay on call from Windhoek while you travel.
You tell us when you are coming, how you like to travel, and what matters to you. We design the route, book the lodges, camps and excursions, and arrange the practical details. While you travel, you have a direct line to our team in Windhoek.
Our trip design service is complimentary; we are compensated by our lodge and activity partners.
For the popular lodges and the dry season months of June to October, six to nine months ahead is wise. The well-known properties sell out. With more notice we have more to choose from, but we have also built trips on shorter timelines.
Yes. Some travellers want the full journey designed; others only need the lodges, or only the excursions. We are happy to handle whichever part you would rather not arrange yourself.
You call us. A closed road, a missed connection, a change of plan, we rearrange what needs rearranging from Windhoek while you keep travelling. This is the part of the service our customers value most.
For most of our routes, yes, or at least a high-clearance vehicle. Namibia's best places sit at the end of gravel roads. As an Advanced Car Hire sister company, we arrange the right vehicle with your journey in one booking.
The dry season, May to October, brings clear skies and the best wildlife viewing as animals gather at waterholes. The green season, November to April, brings dramatic skies, newborn animals, and fewer travellers. Both are excellent; it depends what you want to see.
Yes. We support operators running Namibia programmes with itinerary design, accommodation contracting, and on-the-ground backup. Get in touch and tell us about your programme.
Namibia is one of Africa's most stable and welcoming countries for independent travel. As with anywhere, it rewards preparation: driving distances are long, fuel stops are sparse, and conditions change with the season. We have written a full guide in our journal.
Namib & Co. designs private, tailor-made journeys. If you are looking to join a scheduled group trip, our sister company Herd Namibia runs guided 4x4 convoy departures across Namibia.
